Can New Zealand bounce back, or will Australia seal the Rose Bowl series?

After a thriller of an opening match between the trans-Tasman rivals, the two teams now prepare to face-off in the second match of the Rose Bowl series. Australia will be looking to cement the series win, while New Zealand will be itching to bounce back and level it.



 



Players to Watch Out for



Ellyse Perry (Australia)



After a stellar, record-breaking WBBL season with the bat, Perry will be looking to build on that form in the longer format. With several scores in the 90's under her belt in ODI cricket, she will be eager to score her maiden international century in the one-dayers.



Though she delivered with the ball in the first match, claiming two of New Zealand's top-order wickets, Perry was dismissed cheaply during Australia's innings. She will be wanting to contribute with the bat more, especially since she has more of an opportunity now than she did in the T20s.



Rosemary Mair (New Zealand)



Having made her ODI debut in the first match of the series, 20 year old Mair has created serious waves in the international circuit. Her maiden ODI scalp was the prized one of Australian skipper Meg Lanning, while her second of the day was vice-captain Rachael Haynes; two big wickets. If these names are anything to go by, Mair looks to be an exciting new talent, capable of doing serious damage. Who will fall prey to her next?
