The start of the second Twenty-20 of Pakistan's tour of Bangladesh was delayed due to a wet outfield after the first one was abandoned for the same reason. This delay meant that the match was reduced to 14 overs a side. Pakistan won by a comfortable 58 run margin, as the bowlers starred, in what was a low-scoring affair.

Having won the toss, Bangladesh sent the tourists in to bat first. They made an early breakthrough with Ayesha Zafar being run out for just seven. Newly appointed captain Javeria Khan (28 off 18) then joined Nahida Khan (18 off 18) at the crease. The two put on a 41 run stand before J. Khan's wicket fell, caught and bowled by Lata Mondal. N. Khan was dismissed soon afterwards as Pakistan stumbled on its way to 88-5 off their allotted overs. Contributions from Muneeba Ali, who scored a patient 10 off 17 balls, and Aliya Riaz, who finished on 10* off 12, lifted Pakistan to a respectable total, after they collapsed from 1-49 to 5-70.

Bangladesh put in a commendable effort with the ball, restricting Pakistan to a low total. Nahida Akter took two wickets for 19 runs while, Jahanara Alam and Lata Mondal claimed a scalp each.

In the second innings, Bangladesh followed their good performance with the ball by a nightmare show with the bat. No batter could even reach double digits as the hosts collapsed from 0-0 to 30-10. In fact, three wickets fell in the space of seven deliveries, without a single run being scored. Rumana Ahmed top-scored with a mere nine off 12 balls; a score that was almost one-third of her teams total.

Pakistan one-upped Bangladesh when they were handed the ball. Anam Amin finished with the exceptional figures of 3-3-0-3. All three of her overs were maidens and, she took as many wickets as the number of overs she bowled! Aiman Anwer, Nashra Sandhu and Nida Dar all took two wickets each, while Sana Mir chipped in with one to bowl Bangladesh out for 30 and win the first match of the series. J. Khan won her first match as captain, while Pakistan set themselves on a path to redemption after losing to Bangladesh in the Asia Cup.
