Alyssa Healy says she would "100 per cent" be a part of women's IPL

Australia has sealed the Rose Bowl series with their 2-0 lead after a blistering 95 runs win against White Ferns.

Alyssa Healy said, “It’s nice to be 2-0 up at this stage and to get a series win. I mean there is still some unfinished business on Sunday ahead,” on Wednesday (February 27).

A practice match is to be held against the Cricket Victoria XI tomorrow at the Junction Oval. Therefore, Australia didn’t train today on which Healy commented, "Obviously, we are doing a practice tomorrow so enjoying a couple of days off where we can feel pretty refreshed and look forward to getting out back there."

In the first ODI, White Ferns lost by mere five runs. Healy said, reflecting back on the first game, “It's always a tough contest with the Rose Bowl it was good to actually win the first game. Hopefully, we can cap off an amazing summer. Hoping to get another win on Sunday."

“We have been falling short with the bat. We haven't scored competitive totals and haven't been cashing in runs in the death overs. Perry has made a hundred but the other top fours haven't got a chance so it <3rd ODI> will be a good opportunity to go out there and hopefully cash in,” she added.

Australian strength in this series has been their bowlers with Jess Jonassen, who is the leading wicket-taker with 9 wickets to her name in 2 matches.

“They have been amazing, past few matches they have doing the job for us. We have a pretty stable bowling unit. Hopefully, they can finish it off with one more good win,” Healy confessed.

Australia will look to whitewash the series to which Healy said, “The chance of winning a series 3-0 doesn't come very often and for us to be able to do that is very important and everyone is aware of that. Being the last game of summer I think it must be done on a high.”

After, the conclusion of Rose Bowl series, Australia will play England in England starting from 2nd July.

“We take a lot of confidence from the way we played all summer and I think it will be a shame to let that slide down this last game. Ashes is a big series for us. The players that we have got in this squad could be changed even though there is not a lot of cricket.” said Healy.

Healy was awarded the Belinda Clark Award earlier this month. When asked about it she said, “I haven't sat down and reflected completely on it. Personally, it's very pleasing and I will take a lot of confidence out of it. I will probably sit down and have a beer or two and reflected on what has it been like and what I did to get there and hopefully I can reenact for the next 12 months.”

Healy said she would "100 per cent" be a part of women's IPL whenever it is launched. She added, “I haven't seen any of that so that will be fantastic to join that experience last year heading or there few days, playing in the exhibition game. Probably the next step for the Women's Cricket in the T20I format. When it's up and running it's going to be quite exciting for sure a lot of girls will be able to stick there hands up for it.”
