Nell Bryson-Smith has signed with Adelaide Strikers ahead of the seventh edition of Women’s Big Bash League WBBL, announced the club in a statement on Thursday (September 30).

“I’m very excited to be an Adelaide Striker. I can’t wait to get around the girls as I’ve only ever heard great things about the club,” she said.

The left-arm orthodox bowler, who played as a replacement player for Hobart Hurricanes in the previous edition will represent Strikers this season. Currently, she is serving a quarantine in Hobart and waits to join her teammates.

Luke Williams, head coach of Adelaide Strikers said he is excited with the introduction of Bryson-Smith in the mix. “Nell will be a wonderful acquisition for our squad, both on and off the field,” he said. “We identified a need within our list for a talented left-arm orthodox bowler and Nell fills that need perfectly.”

“We know she will bring plenty to our side throughout WBBL|07, and we couldn’t be more impressed with how she has undertaken the process of quarantining in preparation for the tournament,” he concluded.
