Eshani is a cricketer who has made appearances for Sri Lanka ever since her debut in 2005. An all-rounder, she is a right-handed batswoman and a right-arm medium pace bowler. It could be argued she’s a bowling all-rounder who could be an effective contributor with the bat with some handy practice.

Kaushalya made her debut for Sri Lanka during the 2005 Women’s Cricket World Cup, scoring just seven. She collected her first international wicket later during the tournament, trapping West Indian Juliana Nero leg before. She batted well for Sri Lanka during the 2006 Women’s Asia Cup, finishing top of the batting averages, scoring 106 runs at 35.33, including her a career best of 57.

During the 2013 Women’s Cricket World Cup, she scored two half-centuries, against England and India, and was named as part of the team of the tournament by the International Cricket Council. Along with Ama Kanchana, Kaushalya holds the record for registering the highest 8th wicket partnership in the WT20I history. Continuously serving the country for over 13 years shows the dedication that Kaushalya’s brought to the forefront. Her experience always keeps the team balanced and in good stead during difficult situations. Of late, she’s emerged as the go-to player for her side.
